too sweet much like a whisky cocktail instead of a beer.

Good way to kick off Christmas vacation. Tart cranberry and orange, subtle cherry. Would like a bit more barrel to balance things out but otherwise not too shabby.

Sweet backbone with cranberry tartness. Nice malt quality.

All the fruit comes through on the nose, but flavor is dominated by cranberry and has some bitter notes coming from cranberry or orange peel

Unexpected, but a festive sour

Good but disappointing. Needs to be sweeter from the fruit.

That is tart. Lots of cranberry, some orange and booze.

A barrel aged fruit beer. You have to be in the mood, but this is good

Festive, and the cranberry blends rather well with the oak aging. Tartness is about as much as I care for in a beer.

One of the final beers before an extended dry run. A fine tarty fruit beer. Only the best from Founders. Cheers to 2024 and Happy New Year to all! 🍻

Pleasant aroma! Nice cranberry highlights that goes malty smooth. Defies my definition of a brew.

Reminded me of wine at first. A nice citrusy sweet/tart beverage perfect for a cold January evening. The barrel aging was a perfect touch

Nose cranberry, fruit, caramel, light barrel. Taste cranberry, orange, malt, light vanilla, caramel.

Smells of cranberry, citrus. Taste is sweet, tart (tartness stronger than the sweetness). Good. An odd one but good. High ABV (11%).

Overall this was a pretty good beer as the concept is good but the execution not as good as this could use a bit more bourbon barrel and a scooch less pucker. Rated 3.87 on BA. @Sipping S. you might like this.

I like this a lot more than I thought I would. I expected a lot of bitterness from the orange peel and cranberry, but its pleasantly sweet without being too sweet.
