Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

CBS is a bold imperial stout featuring chocolate and coffee that has aged in bourbon barrels with maple syrup. The sweet, but balanced, aromas of maple syrup and chocolate fill the air, while notes of toasted oak and vanilla become more profound with every sip – melding together in what can only be described as a transcendent drinking experience.

Perhaps not as good as I remember, but still tasty. Needs to warm up a bit in the glass. 4.3 - 4.4 range.

Supremely well executed BB stout. Maple doesn't come off as insane and Wonka as I remember.

Glad this is back. More coffee than I expected compared to 2018. Enjoyed the maple and soft bourbon. I’ll age this and see how the coffee mellows

A little too much coffee. Might smooth out after some time.

10.17.23 bottling. Heavy coffee on the nose, thick, chewy mouth feel with big notes of chocolate, with a little maple syrup on the end

This is in the 4-4.25 range. Not what I remember from the incredible OG type batches but the maple is natural tasting and lot of coffee and roast. Little bit of Chocolate, have to dig for the maple flavor. Barrel character could be better.
