Green Zebra

Sour - Fruited Gose

Subtly sour and a little sweet, this ale is a refreshing take on a nearly extinct German style, gose. Watermelon is the highlight of this lightly-hopped treat and gives it a hint of satisfying juiciness. The soft mouthfeel and dry finish comes courtesy of the addition of sea salt, a traditional gose ingredient.

Like this. Lotta tart and the watermelon runs a tamed jolly rancher.

This surprises me as one of the better gose/sour beers that I have had. It has a nice watermelon candy scent and flavor that mixes in with the hops. It has a little pucker but not much which makes this a nice drink for me. Nice and consistent throughout.

Tart. Nice. Wish it was a little less sweet.

Not always the biggest fan of sours but this got extra points for the salty finish

I absolutely loved this sour, my favorite hands down. Most sours I can’t have more than one because they are heavy and too tart/dry. This was not that! It had a sweeter after taste and was super refreshing/light.

So, I’m not one to brag about my impeccable sense of taste, but I think this tastes more like maple syrup than a sour? Either way, this doesn’t make my lips pucker up like a warhead and I am pleasantly surprised.
