Barleywine - Other

Assemblage is a blend of two beer styles: an Imperial Stout and a Barleywine. We brewed each of these beers and aged them separately in Knob Creek Bourbon barrels for about a year. We then blended them together to create a rich, dark ale with boatloads of oak and bourbon character, a touch of toffee sweetness and just hint of espresso roast. It's the perfect sipper for the coming cold days!

Still amazing, even more 2 years on. Not your typical barleywine, as the colour is so dark, even stout-like. Definitely a bit of a puzzle, but I'll drink to that. This was the last DFH beer we bought just before the pandemic hit.
