Palo Santo Marron

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means "holy tree" and its wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.

Pours dark brown almost black, lots of oaky wood, smooth and a smidge of vanilla on the end.

Expect it to be heavy, but very quickly lightens up with a deep cherry taste. Welcome to the fun Katherine

Dark brown, looks like nitro, drinks like a dark brown and smells like a fruit basket.

Found in my beer cellar. Bottled 6/15. The hint of age has crept in, but all the malt and wood are still there without the boozy punch.

Excellent darker brown ale with strong boozy/alcohol flavor to it. Excellent flavor, but pretty strong tasting... More like alcohol than beer

Nice vanilla fruity nose that follows to palate with a nice caramel semi burnt molasses note. Nice head. Dark as night.
