Midas Touch

Historical Beer - Other

This sweet yet dry beer is made with ingredients found in 2,700-year-old drinking vessels from the tomb of King Midas. Somewhere between beer, wine and mead, Midas will please the chardonnay and beer drinker alike.

Sweet and golden! Normally not huge on sweet beers but this one works, I can only drink one because of the sweetness but it’s very inebriating lol

Not an ale drinker, and yet it was refreshing and smooth.

5yr old bottle cellar aged: effervescent but weak head. The sweetness is a hint of it’s previous presence. Flavor is well balanced and full of nuance. Very satiating & hugely enjoyable. Looking forward to another bottle in a year or so.

No change in my rating. Was hoping it would be different or better than I remembered.

4-5 year aged cellar pull. I like this a lot! Way more than fresh honestly. This is like a syrupy and delicious British-style malty delight at this point.

Thank you Ian for bringing this delicious brew back to Pa. Really digging the honey on the backend.

As always, more like an interesting white wine than a typical beer.
