Midas Touch

Historical Beer - Other

This sweet yet dry beer is made with ingredients found in 2,700-year-old drinking vessels from the tomb of King Midas. Somewhere between beer, wine and mead, Midas will please the chardonnay and beer drinker alike.

King Midas summons me to his chambers. He orders me to remove my tunic. "Sire?" I question. His finger touches my chest and my heart beams with gold and ecstacy.

It's an odd one. Not to many beers with saffron in it. Strong and sweet, it tastes mostly of honey and grapes. Like a cross of mead and white wine. Smells old.

Doesn’t taste as good as it sounds like it would

For what it is, it’s pretty good. I haven’t had this one in years and I enjoy the uniqueness

My favorite beer. Fruity and light, wonderful hops profile.

For a 2,700-year-old recipe, it ain't too bad. 700 BC me would've definitely drank this after a hard day of slave labor. Interesting array of flavors with barley, honey, grapes, and saffron

Very flavorful honey grape saffron ale. Good brew for any time of the year. Thanks Bud!
