Pennsylvania Tuxedo

Pale Ale - American

A spruce-infused pale ale, Pennsylvania Tuxedo pays homage to the flannel-suited hunters and gatherers who dwell deep in the backcountry of north-central PA. This sessionable concoction has a grassy citrus kick complemented by the resinous conifer notes of fresh green spruce tips. A dry yet doughy malt backbone lets the hops and spruce shine while still balancing out the bitterness, making this one an easy drinking ale rich with the aroma of Paul Bunyan's cologne.

As a Pennsylvanian, I can confirm our tuxedos are red flannel. This is fantastic by the way.

I could've sworn I had this before, but guess not. Love how the spruce isn't overblown. Very well-balanced. Tasty! We need more spruce tip beers! If interested, The Beer PaTroll YouTube review can be found here: https://youtu.be/3r09TWcVCSs

McCrory’s 100th Anniversary (1982) Coke glasses holding what has become my favorite seasonal beer. When it was super fresh the spruce was too little. It has peaked and is now drinking EXCEPTIONAL.

A seasonal that isn't...well, seasonal. Hoppy with just that hint of conifer, and not a phalanx of malt and holiday spices to weigh it down.

The spruce ale flavor is not the main event but definitely a strong supporting flavor. Overall, the spruce taste greatly compliments the overall flavor.
