I think I actually like it fresh. A bit of hop and alcohol bite. Like American barleywine. Some caramel mellowed into this.

Some heat from abv. Carmellly and slight toffee notes. Quite delicious.

After this many years in the basement it really drinks like a Belgian ale.

There's no good rating for this, so I'm just gonna call it a 4.

Thank you John! Never had a 4 year old 120. It's a beast but so complex. Cereal malts, prune, date, caramel, brandy and toast.

A revisit. Man alive...this is not beer. Hope you guys can relate to an out of production beer that has aged.

Didn’t taste like an IPA at this point, was really good though, but with 6 ounces couldn’t place what it’s become. I don’t recommend letting it age any longer

Like barley wine. Biscuit malts, caramel, vanilla, a touch of citrus. Thick and boozy.

Not sure what I was saving this for but new home and new job seemed good enough. Still pretty boozy.

I wanted to age it longer, but my el cuñado has never had it.

Mini vertical with '14 and '17. This one was the best... Mellowed just a touch but still good flavor.

Ages well - continually hopped over a 120 minute boil and then dry hopped for over a month. Enjoy now or age for a decade or so.

Found this one in the cellar. Actually bought this in Elmhurst, IL back in 2016 for a steal. Still hoppy but starting to turn more barley wine like. I have a few more left.

Give it a few years and it takes rubbing alcohol and makes it tasty

Four and a half years young. Older than the current “administration.” And goes down 1000% better.

Not sure what an unaged bottle should taste like, but this is strong and sweet. There is almost an apple taste to it.

First one I aged myself and came out exactly like ones from beer trappe.

First time I had DF 120, you got a 2 oz pour at a packed Addison Flying Saucer. It was that popular and rare. A year later I was able to get a bottle of it for one of my final 200 for my plate. This glass was my first from FS. RIP Addison Flying Saucer.

Strong and sweet hop juice. Boozy and tasty.

Boozy and old. Like the dust of a bottle in grandpa's basement. Rich with homemade ketchup, pickled veggies and bath tub brandy. What once was a beer is now an alcoholic artifact.

Mellowed out a ton. Drink these before they sit for 4 years...

After 4+ years it had lost some primary flavor with gains in subtle nuances. Still excellent.

Happy 1/20 day. Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate today than by getting rid of some garbage (which some people absolutely love for some reason) that's been around since 2016

Smooth! Sweet mix of malt with citrus and pine, no hop bite, nice booziness

Utopias light. Not as harsh as fresh. Still decent hop presence. Malty
