Bottled 07/14/16. And this is one of two gems I found today! The years have been kind to this. Little to no carbonation, got pretty sweet for such a big boy too.

Had in 2020. Ages really well. Deep flavors and musky

Sweet, malty, a tad bitter, and just a little bit of musk... always amazed how this ages out to a different but way more interesting beer

Unbelievably smooth. Would not think it’s as strong as 120. Picture what you know about 120, but in that context.

Aged bottle (4/12/16). Strong raisin/caramel notes present. Hops have faded but still nicely compliment the punch of the alcohol.

It burns. Like a sweet, sticky, malt forward and backend bitter aged IPA should

Getting better! Which is still to say I hate this beer. This week makes me want to instantly set my whole cellar on fire

Had this 10 years ago for Kalena’s first birthday. Celebrating her number 11 today. Will have to share with her in another decade for #21! 🙂🙃🎂🍻. As to the beer, not much hops left, but boozy and sweet with fig or raisin flavors.

Boozy and malt. Really sticky. This is more barleywine than IPA.

A long time ago, when our friendship was nascent, Gabe Hattaway and I were talking about beer revelations and he told a story of a vertical of aged 120 minute. To that point I’d only ever had it fresh. Yes, my friend, four years makes this beer awesome!

Smoothing out nicely over the years. Smooth toasted caramel, a touch of hop resin, little bit of leather. Booziness is largely gone, drinking pretty nicely. Looking forward to trying a 2006 soon!

The bad news is that one of my favorite bottle shops is closing its doors...The good news is that they have emptied their cellar in the process. This is honestly drinking way more like a Barleywine now than an IPA.

Aged very nicely, smoothed out, less bite, mello hops and malt. Very nice.

04/08/16. This is absolutely lovely. Peak aged 120 Minute IPA is still as sublime a beer drinking experience as any other out there. You can say it's not a real IPA. I won't argue with you. I don't care what it is. I love it.

Been aging this one for a little, time to enjoy one. Happy birthday to me! 🍻

Impressively deep. A hoppy darker IPA that now has some sweet caramel and oak notes. Aged excellently.

Curious to see what the other 3 from this year do once I eventually open them

Very good, liked it better with six years in it but only slightly.

This is wild. How is this an IPA again? Thanks for aging for me Tyler H. !

It does age well. Better with a W celebration. Go Green!

Heavy bodied malty barleywine. Mellowed hop notes. Medium-strong booze notes. 18% mellows nicely.

4 years old. Alcohol was mellow, flavor sweet. Nice sweet spot for this beer
