Special. Difficult to describe. Almost like port wine. 17.3% is no joke. Tucking the rest of these bottles away for a while.

Not really sure what the hype is about. Starts thin and woody, then a hit of bitter dark chocolate, and then finishes kinda dry and boozy. Slight toffee sweetness if I really look for it. Maybe modern pastry stouts have ruined me but this is a miss.

Has a bite but a smooth finish. Definitely can taste the barrel age. Delicious!

Figs, dates and stone fruit. Wonderful and high liquor notes with a good touch of the utopias. When you realize your coming up on 15th highschool reunion you drink..

Best of both worlds. Not overly thick or sweet, not over the top malt. Amazing balance of the two beers.

It is hard to believe the ABV for this is so high. But then again the slight burn of the barrel on the back of my throat lets me know it is a killer.

Goddam perfection. When I'm on the way out, hopefully years down the road, I want this on an I.V. drip as I float away.
