St Lamvinus (2020) F.

Smooth and minimally sour. Lots more funk than previous years. Fruit hits up front, then funky cheese, ends with a bit of grass.

Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout (2020) F.

Not really sure what the hype is about. Starts thin and woody, then a hit of bitter dark chocolate, and then finishes kinda dry and boozy. Slight toffee sweetness if I really look for it. Maybe modern pastry stouts have ruined me but this is a miss.

Fou' Foune (2018) F.

Fantastic vintage. Apricots throughout the range, not overpowering or masking the lambic. I love my fou fruity but this one is much more nuanced right now.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge F.

Alright founders, you stepped up. Put this one on the board. Fudge definitely comes through, but without being an over the top pastry stout. Good balance of chocolate and coffee, very easily a solo bottle. Little to no maple. Not quite 4.5, maybe 4.3.
