Mildly Darkly

English Mild Ale

Mildly Darkly is a rare mild ale filled with character and pleasant surprises. It is brewed to 6% ABV from a blend of English pale, crystal and dark malts and fermented with a distinctively fruity English ale yeast strain lending cocoa and dried plum notes. The aroma is accented by whiffs of tropical fruit, coconut, whiskey barrel and cedarwood from ample dry-hopping with HBC 472.

Might nearly max out dark mild category for me. Robust malt body with perfect hop profile. Thanks Chad P.

Mild ale brewed to 6% ABV from a blend of English pale, crystal, and dark malts, fermented with a distinctively fruity English ale yeast strain lending cocoa and dried plum notes. I didn’t like this in 2018, and not much has changed. Just not my thang.

Don’t love it but don’t hate. Malt with a touch of bitterness at the end.

Smooth. Not hoppy or too malty. A little thin.

Interesting mild - malty backbone, mild hops. Closer to a Brown ale. Easy drinking.
