Drinking a 120 on my birthday, a tradition like no other

bottled 04/10/23.barely stings, considering the horsepower. dates. fragrant hops. Woody muskiness. was expecting to say like a barley wine but this is a brighter cousin.

Ok that is boozy. However being in the barrel really smooths it out. Sweet, raisins

Lots going on in the aroma. Fresh fruit, barrell, definite hops. This will transform as it warms.

Quality beer. Not what you’d expect. I like to say if a vodka soda and an ipa had a kid, this is it. You definitely get more of that residual effect in the throat like taking a shot, but with a nice smooth hoppy aftertaste.

The scent of oak and alcohol battling for domence. Continuing to assert their aggressive presence on your pallet, but now joined by dark fruits of raisins and prunes with perhaps a hint of baking spice.

Such a good one here, this one is a great single drinker. This one fits in between 15-20% ABV wow. So good!!

A solid rendition to 120. The barrel aged wasn’t overpowering. Good balance of a strong rich flavor

Nice orange and plum nose, a little heat but fairly tame for 17%. Kinda oaky/woody, plum, dark fruit, spice

Probably the closest I will ever get to Utopias beer. Doesn't tast anything like the regular 120 but still great. 17 ABV and can't tell.

This. Is. Amazing. Such a strong barrel aged flavor. Doesn’t strike me as an IPA. It’s delicious.

So much great barrel. I don't know what to do with it all other than pair it with cheese from the work cafeteria fridge and watch History's Greatest Mysteries, The Black Dahlia

Fig, prune, oak, honey all present on the nose and palate. Zesty & peppery hops on the finish for balance.
