I guess I really do like (good) barleywines.

Mahogany in colour with little carbonation. Figs, prunes on the nose. Rich viscous mouthfeel with no fusel burn. Molasses, but with that barleywine joy. The angels certainly got their share, but I'm glad I got mine. Paired with a 2017 Olde School.

This holds up and improves with age, great dark roated malt flavor

Superlative. Simply incredible. Deep ruby colour. Not as sweet as less aged vintages. Smooth with no discernable fusel burn. Aged perfectly. Malty sweetness on the nose and a barleywine through and through. You should envy my tastebuds.

From 2007, the year I started ticking. Now that’s some old school Olde School! Toffee, prunes, amaretto, soy sauce

Less acidic than I expected for the age. Bitter strong and only a bit sweet

Tasty. Reminds me of chocolate covered fruit! This thing is older than I have been legally able to drink.

This is so smooth. You can tells it's been sitting since long before I could even drink. Very thick and molassesy up front with a nice boozy finish. Hop flavor is gone at this point but that's fine!

The aging of this beer is what gives it this rating.

Sweet cherry up front, sherry and molasses, leather/tobacco finish, just a little boozy, hops long faded. I think it’s very nice. Oldest Olde School I’ve had.

This has developed beautifully during its 13 year slumber, bringing out lovely deep brassy raisiny cherry flavors. Lovely.
