Bottled 1/14/15... much of the hop bitterness has faded into a sharp boozy fruity mildly malty flavor bomb

From the cellar. Bottled 1/14/15. Changed a lot - super boozy and sharp, much less of the sweet bitter goodness i expect from vintage 120. Has a cognac crossed with grappa thing going on. Not awful but not at all what i had hoped for.

Barleywine like qualities in the nose, those sickly sweet notes starting to develop into sherry like aroma, berry, still a little hoppiness but has died considerably, slight pine, boozy as all hell, starting to develop some floral lavender and juniper

Aged 4 years. Very sweet and strong. Still a little a harsh, but much smoother than fresh.

Either Iβve burned off everything on my tongue or this smoothed out just a bit in 5 years.

Been doing a 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall Election Day countdown chug for the past couple weeks. This is one of them.

So much malt flavor. Drinking really well. It has been too long since I last had one of these.

Aged very well at 5 years and 7 months. This is super smooth, incredibly malty and a little bit sweet like caramel. Bitterness has faded but hop flavor remains. Amazing 10th anniversary pour!

Great ultrasound today! Enough of a reason to bust a π out of the cellar.

Smooth boozy sipper, yes 2015, I think I have to thank DB for this one.

Tastes like a barleywine after 5 years and I love it. Can't wait to try the next one after a decade or so

Red barleywine at this point, nice oak, nuanced flavors. 5 years of aging in my liquor cabinet seems to have worked well

Iβll admit, I was kinda afraid to drink this. But Iβm glad I went for it. Itβs perfectly boozy in all the right ways. I think I love it.

A very solid Barleywine at this point, which is far better than fresh. Black and Tan with WWS as well
