This is going to be a long winded checkin. First off, Utopia is one amazing beer. I've only had once and I wish I could have shared with all my Frens. This beer in my opinion is using the Utopia name in order to cash in on this beer. This beer does not

It's not my favorite but it is very good considering how much alcohol it has in it. One of the better tasting barrel aged beers I've had.

Wow. Definitely get your moneys worth with this one. Get the subtle notes of utopias, but overall espresso, cocoa, sherry and vanilla balanced

Definitely a boozy scent, but still not what I'd expect for 17%. Familiar notes of brandy and some cherries, but thankfully not overpowering. Almost tough to get down with the booziness, but the cherries are missing in lieu of raisins, oak, and sherry.

It’s somewhere between a glass of bourbon, stout, and pennzoil.

Late posting: a little treat after a good show with HTW on Saturday! The malt covered up the fact it was 17.3% well. Definitely a slow slipping beer. But glad I was finally able to find one!

Honestly I was a little under whelmed by this beer I don't know if it's the barrel aging caused the normally thick and heavy worldwide stout to thin out. The flavor/sent definitely conveyed what my understanding of utopiass.

So...it's just a hot mess really atm. Needs 5 more years before I'll even think about it again lol. Rating based on potential. I've had quite a few big and awesome beers as of late. This was big...

Weird sharpie type marker flavour... I'll wait a few years aging before trying it again.
