I had high hopes for another KBS variation but this one came across as rather pedestrian, relatively speaking. Still an excellent beer, just didn’t wow me.

Wow! There’s a LOT going on here. And all of it’s good. An amazing heavyweight beer. So wonderful.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Sudsbury

Trying this again - cellared for 5 years at the brewery and brought back here in a crowler. Still amazing.

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022) Sudsbury

Maybe because I only aim for big stouts, but the biggest thing I get from this is the coffee bitterness. I expected more booze and more weight. Surprisingly light for a heavyweight. Think some of these others will knock it out.

I can’t get over how good this beer is. I’m curious if it’s because I’ve been deprived of serious beers for awhile. Or is it really this good? F it. I’m not looking a good beer in the mouth; I’m putting it in my mouth.

Nice one here. Maybe a bit too nutty for my liking. I’d prefer the regular KBS.

My first pumpkin beer of the year. Usually I decide I don’t like these after a while. This one was okay, I guess.

Backwoods Bastard 2021 Sudsbury

Hadn’t had one of these in quite awhile. Dumb move. This is an awesome beer. I need more. Soon.

Underground Mountain Brown Sudsbury

Yikes! Great beer but the 11.9% caught me off guard. Again, I think red warning signs are needed. I drank this late before bed; would prefer to enjoy. At least I’ll sleep well!

Big Luscious (2020) Sudsbury

Crazy sweet one here. Too much raspberry. Maybe I like cherry better? Not sure but this one isn’t a keeper.

Campfire Amplifier Sudsbury

Very interesting ingredients but I didn’t get a lot of those fun tastes like marshmallow or graham crackers. Just a decent milk stout.

Marvelroast (2020) Sudsbury

Sometimes non-stout coffee beers can be challenging. This is the best I’ve had. Really unique, but great, taste. I think the heavy vanilla puts it over the top for me.
