Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2018) Curler
Glorious. I adore this beer with 5-7 years on it, and this 6 Dec 2018 just clears that, but tastes phenomenal. Rich mouthfeel, a little green apples and funky cheese brightness, slightly sour, with a long long finish.

Borderline cocktail-y. Elderflower hides around the margins, with an herbaceous quality that’s reminiscent of an amaro. Strong funk underlies everything.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2020) Curler
Gorgeous. Dry-hopping adds a nice aromatic bitterness to a very lightly funk base lambic. 2-3 years is my favorite age for these. (3 Jan 2020 bottling) Happy final Fall Back day.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Curler
This is crazy. Every swig is a different dominant flavor. From plum to chocolate to cherry to roast to woody booze. So layered, so rich, really fun.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2017) Curler
European label 375mL RdG. For the .info, still absolutely lovely, nose like a jar of jam and a tartness that felt right in line with actual raspberries. But with a touch of funk to help one remember it is lambic. Happy Zwanze Eve!

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2013) Curler
Lemons and sawmill on the nose, dry, tannic mouthfeel, good sweetness and some sour funk. An excellent value geuze with several years left in it.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2013) Curler
Bottle date 27 May 2013, from my first trip to Belgium. 375mL bottle. Immediate pop of big raspberry aroma on cork pull. Fruit is the first big impression on the palate, followed by acidity, and the the lambic cheesy funk. Nearly 8 years old, feels fresh.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2014) Curler
6 Feb 2014, and still jammed with fruit. Glorious red color with a vigorous foam on the pour. Nose is straight macerated raspberries, body is sour, but not aggressively so. Happy #ZwanzeDay
