Holy Tropical Fruits

This is dangerously good. Mango, passion fruit, and lime with sea salt. Reminds me of the salted fruit juices you get in SE Asia. I could probably mainline this stuff.

Mumbo Jumbo #1: Passion Fruit, Guava, Raspberry

It's so pretty! And delicious, too. I'm a sucker for guava, so maybe that is affecting my judgment, but this is awesome. More complex than the previous beer, with a deeper saltiness to it. The only problem is that it disappears too quickly!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021)

I think the cinnamon and vanilla get a little buried by the rich chocolate and coffee--at least, they are very subtle. On the other hand, the chocolate flavor is maybe the best I've had in a stout, and it's not too sweet.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2021)

If I hadn't just had the 3 Fonteinen, this definitely would have been a five. It's still awesome. Lovely tart cherry melded perfectly with that funky lambic goodness.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2021)

If you're going to do a framboise, this is the way to do it. Tart and fresh, without being cloyingly sweet. I'm more of a gueuze man myself, but this is excellent as well. Freshly picked berries in the woods after a summer shower.

Gueuze (2021)

I have waited so long for this... It's been at least seven or eight years now. I've had a lot of sours since then, and I'm almost surprised at how clean and natural the woody funkiness is. It's a thing of beauty. Late afternoon sunshine on hayfields.

Oude Geuze A L'Ancienne VAT 108bis Mono Blend (2018)

The fruitiness of ripe, slightly wrinkled apples on the nose, earthy farmhouse funkiness on the palate, and a sour, acid kick on the finish that nips at your tongue. A perfect aged lambic--I couldn't ask for anything more. 👌

Do Stuff Together

Light and refreshing--very sessionable. This was gone before I realized it. I get a lot of pine from this, with a hint of lemon.

Black Bear

Rich coffee, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. Perfectly balanced. Boy is this good. Absolutely does not taste like 10%. Kind of dangerous in that regard.

Más Agave Grapefruit

I'm surprised at how sweet this is. It's good, although it does seem to have strayed from what I expect from a gose. The grapefruit is also not all that prominent. Still tasty, though!
