The one thing I miss about commuting is the sheer amount of books I used to smash through. And by "one thing" I mean "literally the only thing & actually not even that thing very much tbh". Classic Mikkeller Berliner fruit juice beer combo.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2016-2017)

Had this knocking around since 2020, finally found someone who can cope with weirdo lambic funk to share it with. It's weirdo lambic funk: totally flat, more wine than beer, sour, farmy oddness. Good but only the Belgians could've invented this stuff.

Specific Seperation

I was gonna take a picture for each of the beers with them slowly going down but I spilt beer everywhere & wiped all the numbers off so you're getting this one x5. Big & very fucking alcoholic. A winner.

Warp

We did it, we escaped Performative Grief Island (née Plague Island (née Gammon Island)). Cool little bar this, doing the MonkDave666 bar crawl over the next few days, life is fucking sweet. Except for the Queen.

Nocturnal

Second session strength pastry stout thing I've had recently. This makes a decent attempt at it; nicely chocolatey, bunch of vanilla, slightly on the thin side but overall good stuff. Went well with a fecking massive shepherd's pie.

Orbital Movement

Yet another "whoops I forgot to cancel Beer52" box, woo. At least this month's seems to actually have some stuff worth drinking in it though. This is proper old school dank hoppy with that nu-skool hazy shit going on. It's good.

Beer Geek Fudgesicle

Had this in a can 3 years ago & liked it a lot. It's better on draught by a smidge. Super fudgy.

Vibrant P'ocean

Nice to see a Belgian-US collaboration, they tend to collaborate more with the Germans as a rule. Nice mix of a Flanders' Red & an elderflowery sour thing. Would've liked more of the former & less of the latter but it's refreshing enough.

Spontandoubleblueberry (2020)

What a miserable day, cheering myself up with silly beer. Big flavours of spontan & blueberry (double). Bit dangerous for an 8.4% beer 'cos I'm drinking it like fruit juice but oh well. Went well with History Mystery online escape room with mates.
