The Headless Gourdsman Blessing
Celebrating the Niners win and 4th trip to the NFC Championship in 5 years. This beer didn't deliver on the ๐ and spice as much as I wanted, buy a solid bourbon barrel beer nonetheless. Thanks to Brian T. for graciously hooking me up with this bad boy

This is always a decent ๐๐บ that I pick up perennially. This year's vintage however is a bit weak. Some years are better than others.

This year's iteration is miles ahead of the last 2 seasons. Finally, they got their balance right. There is a reason why this is a perennial ๐๐บ favorite.

Founders Brandy Barrel Aged Quad Pro Quo Blessing
Founders may have deplorable inter-office policies, but they sure do make great beer. This 13% Quad has all of the flavors that you expect from the style. Candied sugars and banana esters. Dangerously smooth for the taste, but still burns on the back.

I do enjoy a good Belgian beer and Founders delivered in spades with thus one. Banana and clove, but well balanced with all of the other flavors going on. Deceptively smooth for 10%.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Blessing
This wasn't as cinnamon forward as I wanted, but still a solid offering from Grand Rapids. KBS w/ a little too much vanilla that kind of supercedes the cinnamon. Overall, still a delicious brew.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2013) Blessing
I never tried KBS until 2015 and as good as it was, many said that it was better in years prior. I got my hands on this beauty stored in the closet of my fiancรฉe. Even after almost 9 years, it's still amazing and the coffee hasn't become too bitter.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 11.9% Blessing
This will always be a favorite brew of mine! Eventhough the coffee has become a little bitter in 6 years time, this is still a delight! Boozy, bourbon, chocolate and coffee deliciousness. It hides the ABV well. Masterfully done. Delicious!!!

This is more like it. A solid offering from Dogfish Head. A nice pilsner that is sessionable but packs a lot or flavor. Definitely a deviation from the aforementioned lagers. A nice $2 find from my neighborhood grocery store.

Pretty fucking tasty. Chocolate, coffee and vanilla in a well balanced package. No one flavor supercedes the other. The lactose adds a creamy mouthfeel that completes the picture. I wouldn't expect anything less from Founders.

This is not my first cranberry/pumpkin beer, but may be my last. At least the one I had before had more ๐ and the cranberry balanced the sweetness and spice. Thus is too cranberry heavy. A strange holiday amalgamation. Only rated this high because ๐

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) Blessing
Did a vertical of this and the 17'. I think 3 years is optimal time for aging. Thanks to Jamie S. for sharing this with me. The flavors have dissipated slightly, but the maple is still very pronounced in this. I'm going to miss this ๐บ!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) Blessing
I shouldn't have let this age as long as I did. It is still an amazing stout and the coffee flavor wasn't marred, but the maple has all but dissipated. Nice bourbon burn as always, but tastes like KBS. Purchased on my fiancรฉe's birthday in 2017.

Dogfish Head Punkin is a perennial ๐๐บ staple no doubt, but this year's batch is disappointing. The first drink was flavorful and complex. Every drink thereafter is thin and underwhelming. No discernible aroma. Meh.

Mรกs Agave Prickly Pear Blessing
This is definitely much more flavorful than the lime variant. I actually quite enjoy the residual sweetness that lingers in this one. Decent gose from Founders.

Beer To Drink Music To Blessing
This is the first variant I have had of this Perennial mainstay that has mad notes of mango and peach. Fucking delicious. Vibin' w some '90s shizit.

Frangelic Mountain Brown (2019) Blessing
This ๐บ has done nothing but improve with age! The amount of hazelnut coffee flavor in this is next level! I went outside and could smell the intense aromas coming from the kitchen. This is one of my favorite Founders offerings! Perfect way to finish!

I'm not normally too keen on barleywine, but this is quite nice. Not too much of an edamame aftertaste. Alcoholic burn, but more refined. Complex, yet simple. Kudos!๐ป

I typically love wheat beers and this one is no exception. Packs quite a bit of flavor for such a sessionable beer. Light, full, clean and balanced. Founders rarely disappoints when it comes to their beer.

Fine maple syrup flavor with a smooth, whiskey burn. Oakey, vanilla and maple deliciousness.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Blessing
This is everything I was hoping for and more! The amazing flavor of KBS coupled with maple and mackinac fudge didn't disappoint! I don't get much maple, but the mackinac fudge is in full effect! Thanks to Jamie S. for this fudgey, delicious gift!

Dogfish Head rarely disappoints and this hazy boi is no exception. Tropical, juicy and a little dank. Maybe that's just this loud I be smoking. Solid ๐บ for my badge whoring ass!

Very heavy on the vanilla, but that's to be expected. Meant to taste like a vanilla latte. You can say what you want about Founders, but they almost always deliver the goods. This ๐บ has sat patiently in my fridge for 9 months or so. Cheers. ๐ป

Starts off like a typical milk stout, but quickly becomes bitter and a little sour. Thin and watery. I expected better.

Dogfish Head is never afraid to push the envelope and I can appreciate that. This cream ale is a bit spicey. Star anise, cardamom and ginger kinda dominate everything else. They usually put out a more balanced experience. Collaboration with Sam Adams.

Curmudgeonโs Better Half "Deep Cut" Blessing
As amazing as I thought that Curmudgeon's Better Half was, the 'Deep Cut' really drives the maple flavor home for me. More nuanced due to more time in the barrels. Like them or hate them, Founders are masters of their craft. Amazing old ale!

Founders definitely comes correct when it comes to any ๐บ style and this is no exception. Malty, bready, sweet and full. A solid marzen. So glad they canned this for distribution. Prost!

This is typically a solid ๐๐บ offering every year. Some years are better than others, but it's consistent. Not as much ๐ and spice flavor this year. Still, solid taste of brown sugar and cinnamon. I needed to finish strong. Thanks, Jamie S. โค๐ฏ๐ป
