Cantillon funk, unripe apricot, soft wood, citrus, soft grape vinegar, subtle raw almonds. Great stuff, this beer aged beautifully. Really smooth for a lambic.

Rum, vanilla, cocoa, smooth bourbon, chocolate, subtle coconut, subtle roasted malt. Thick, rich in flavour, with a warm, boozy finish. Solid stuff.

Tons of cinnamon, smooth coffee, vanilla, chocolate. Pretty good, but nowhere near the level KBS was 10 years ago.

Chocolate, vanilla, smooth coffee, bourbon, with a warm boozy finish. A sipper, really well-rounded.

LCI. Notes of brewed coffee, cocoa nibs, mocha, fudge, smooth bourbon. Not much maple in this, but a very solid KBS nonetheless.

LCI. Bourbon, oak, tons of coffee, cacao nibs, chocolate, some vanilla. Soft, velvety mouthfeel, low carbonation. You can tell this is a KBS, with just a bit of extra coffee notes, compared to the non-espresso version. Right up my alley.

LCI. Semi-hazy ruby pour with a thin pink-white head. Notes of mouldy oak barrel, sweet grapes, red wine, tannins, soft lambic funk. Good stuff.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2016)
Clear amber pour with a thin white head that dissipates quite quicky, and visible carbonation. Notes of old cheese, grape vinegar, grains, caramel, sweaty hops, sharp oak, the characteristic mellow Cantillon funk, some sherry smoothness in the finish. OK

3 years in and the apricots in this beer are more like apricot jam and less like unripe apricots, like it was when the beer was fresh. Still insane levels of fruit, perfectly blended with the soft Cantillon funk. Great stuff!
