Just another bearded wanker disappearing up his own ass while he reviews the latest limited release IPA.

Classic Gueuze

Beautiful citrus and leathery funk with a tartness that goes on forever. Just a cut above. Breaking news: elite brewery makes elite beer.

Spontan Goes Spontan

Horrendous. I love this series but this is rough as guts.

Vigneronne (2019)

No idea what vintage this was but gonna assume 2019 given the best before is 2029. I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would. I usually love white grape sours but I found this one a bit too much.

Nath (2019)

Fitting beer for our ten year anniversary. This might be my fave cantillon behind Rose. It has a solid helping of rhubarb which works so nicely in a lambic and slight herbaceous note.

Spontandoublecassis

Sharp acidity and nice amount of black currant coming through. Nowhere near as sweet as I thought it would be from the colour. Another winner from this series.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek (2019)

Something not quite right about this to me.

Oregon Fruit Series Spontan Plum

Not much plum and just not vibing with the sour funk from the yeasts in this. Disappointing given that I have really enjoyed the other Mikkeller spontan beers I’ve tried.

12" Winale B-Sides

This toes the line perfectly between beer and wine. Sweeter than I expected with a lot grape juice and only mild tartness. Not bad at all.
