#Latertappd from midsummer night. Best before 04.02.2040 but decided to pop this fella … I’m not convinced that this would have gotten any better in 15+ years more. It’s light, cherry, tad yeasty, some cola notes but that’s not enough, thin it is.

Tart earthiness on the nose, cherry forward. Taste continues the same, sweetness is quite low. Finish is quite light and mildly berry-tart. I perhaps was expecting a bit more taste. Now just ok.

Oude Boon is zegmaar de Johny Walker onder de geuzes. Als een kastelein trots roept dat ie ook een geuze heeft en het is een Boon dan weet je dat het een 💩 tent is. Maar deze SE met Schaarbeekse krieken van 5yo kon ik niet laten liggen. Smaak is cava 🌶️

Had ik meer van verwacht. Het zoete, fruitige karakter houdt de geuzezurigheid wat op de achtergrond. De kriekensmaak zit er voor mij onvoldoende in. Smaak wat te vlak.

After sitting a bit in a glass and getting to room temperature this beer is great! Not sweet at all. A tart cherry sensation! 🍒
