Velvet Rush (2021) Cathcart

Good flavor with layers of coffee/chocolate/vanilla. Smooth with a bit of nib and coffee bitters. I like my BBA’s thicker but this is good.

This was a score! Out of production and we find it at a cider house in Leavenworth. This seems a bit sweeter than other years, maybe it was the tart cider flight before. Sooo tasty. Legen….wait for it….dary!

Porter Cathcart

I originally gave this beer a 5 because it checked all the boxes for a porter. There may be better porters around, and I will do my part to look for them, but I can’t find anything to complain about so the score stands.

Nice malt, light on smoke and peat, a bit metallic in taste.

Rich coffee, chocolate, malt, boozy bourbon (not too much). I love Founder’s beers! Missing CBS guys😉...still have a little stashed.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Cathcart

Founders nails it again! This is a sweet dessert beer. I prefer less sweetness for beer, but there’s no denying the quality here. Deep, rich, chocolate, coffee, maple, and a chocolate nib bitterness on the finish.
