At the right temperature its still a tasty bugger, despite the expiry date in 2018. Lots of barrel smooth as hell, coats the mouth in maple chocolate galore. A good choice for the evening.

Monk's Brew (2016) Hogthrob

Found another forgotten gem. Brought in 2016. Nose, caramelised suger and fruit. Candid apple, plum. Taste is good but at the edge of being too dusty, no bright notes left. Not sweet fir a quad.

1980 Unmasked tour, Sydney, now with Carr on drums. The band looks and sound jyst fine, but some of the songs!? Shandi, bit shady.😉 2017 cbs better than 2018, more barrel less syrup junk, ends nice with dry barrel and lingering whiskey note.

Oh my, a decadent Ace to a decadent stout, but you got to love those dynasty costumes. Paul's cracked mirror ibanez iceman guitar is just the ultimate rock guitar ever😍 Verdict, Dynasty is a good record, unmasked is the rock bottom one.

Ah old one from the crypt. As its pre 2020, it should be free of bitterness from all that Trudeau fascism infused in all that is Canadian. Smells lovely, soy, liquorice, barrel.. Richer than I remember, but its still way to sweet. Regular kbs is better

Backwoods Bastard (2016) Hogthrob

Another 'oldie' bites the dust ;-) very dence deep aroma, sweet rich sweet jam like fruit smell, and very noticeable barrel addition. Taste is almost too much, so thick, sweet, vinous and medicinal. Food pairing for this is...? Salami? Cheese? Candy?

Found a dusty relic from 2017. Nose is sweet & mildly roasted, noticeable bourbon barrel elements. Taste is maybe a bit too maple sweet, but the barrel note is perfect. The abv not an issue.

Solid Gold Hogthrob

Nice bright aroma with apricot and a tropical flare. Bit thin, but nicely balanced addition of the tropical hops. Nice bbq hang-around beer I guess.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Hogthrob

Damn that smells like rockey road ice cream. If I close my ice I see the nuts & fudge topping. Rich but not crazy sweet, chocolate galore!

Hoppy pale ale aroma, a shy sour note also? Taste is hoppy and quite dry and hoppt but not off-putting.

Aroma is great, kahlua over fat vanilla ice cream. Fun sweet taste, adult candy, creamy super sweet vanilla ice cream & coffee.
