KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) A.
Remember that last bit of bad coffee from yesterday at the crappy workplace you quit in 1992? They kept it for this beer. In the original pot. This is bad. Sadly, the Mackinac Fudge tries valiantly to redeem the situation... too little too late.

NewBeer on NewPatio. Chocolate/coffee nose; taste starts coffee (lots of coffee); middle is a smooth fullness with hints of choco., vanilla and milk sugar - but very subtle (very full). Finishes as hints of each wondering around in my mouth, lingering.

This is going to age well, but it is not there yet. The hops are not great right now so they need some time. The maltiness seems nice - maybe a bit too sweet - but it is hard to tell.

Compares to Three Sheeps Veneration surprisingly poorly. Just lacks the complexity and is not as sweet. Need to try in other order. I mean, this is a good beer, one of my favs. But the sweet awesomeness of Veneration...

Love this. Name is apropos. Raspberry is well placed, not subtle but not over bearing. Chocolate is rich and dark. Like a Ghirardelli dark chocolate Raspberry square.
