Your basic cranberry RIS, if that’s a thing. Is there cherry and orange peel here? I wouldn’t be able to say.

This is super easy to like. Malty, yeasty, roasty, tannic, bitter, and sweet where it needs to be. All things in balance.

Honestly, this just tastes like regular-degular KBS. It’s nice, though. Perhaps there’s a tiny bit of cherry in the aftertaste…

Canned 18 months ago, which seems like a good thing. All of the edges have been smoothed, and this is pretty nice. Dry, bitter, fairly decent pairing of coffee and base beer.

120 Minute Ipa (2022) Anderson
It reads “ages well” on the bottle, but I am still convinced this is better fresh. And this is fresh.

I like hazelnuts. I haven’t had a lot of hazelnut beers that worked. This…works? Smells a bit like those crappy hazelnut coffees that were popular in boutique coffee shops in the 1980s, but tastes better than that. Save your money and buy regular KBS.

I stand by my earlier rating. This is one tasty beer. It’s surprisingly dry, and every single thing is in harmony. Great beer.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Anderson
Pretty tasty stuff. Cinnamon maybe a bit too dominant, so some of the typical KBS balance is lost.

Can’t believe I have never checked this in before. Earthy, resinous, and sharp, with a caramel note. I wanted an IPA, and this suits me.

Once again, I suggest you not pass this over. It’s remarkable for a beer that’s easy to get in 6-packs.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4% Anderson
This has aged well. Everything nice and nothing out of place.

120 Minute IPA (2019) Anderson
I like this better with a year on it than fresh. I guess that puts me in the majority.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Anderson
This ain’t bad. Restrained sweetness, tons of coffee, and a hint of maple.
