Más Agave Grapefruit Costoya

2021 vintage. Grapefruit, tequila, wood, sherry, caramel and a touch of salt. Barely tart. Extremely sweet, had to water it down with sparkling water to drink it.

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2020) (Cognac) Costoya

Dry cider, mild funk, cognac, almonds, apricots, alk integrated into a well paced lambic. Round, with medium-low acidity and insanely easy drinking.

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2018) (Brandy) Costoya

Murky, softer, one-dimensional when compared with the 2020 version. Some enjoyable funk, but lacking depth overall

Nath (2017) Costoya

Bought when I started my PhD, seems only reasonable to have it once I got awarded the degree. Officially Dr Costoya! The beer: citrusy, hay, medium funk and a bit of yogurt. Can't say I get the rhubarb, but tart amd very easy drinkable! 3.9

Oude Geuze Apogee Costoya

Tart, medium-low funk, green apple, salinity, wheaty. Very good, low complexity, almost every day geuze. Sad that Frank had to leave for this to happen

Fou' Foune Costoya

2019 vintage. Insanely acidic, touch of acetic. Virtually no funk with just a bit of stonefruit in the background. Undrinkably acidic

SpontanCherry Frederiksdal (2020) Costoya

Deep cherry, vinous, oaky, minimal funk, soft tartness and a slightly sweet finish. I hate to say it, but this is great

Versus: Hew Costoya

It has that almost vanilla quality from verdant beers, but boozier and sweeter than its sibling

Versus: Hue Costoya

Apricot, orange peel. Medium-high hop intensity. Biscuity malt base, soft. Great!

Fou' Foune (2019) Costoya

After high expectation, hate to rate so low. Medium funky nose, along with some raw wheat and wood. In mouth, is a sharp acetic slap in the face with some almost inexistent apricot character.
