90 Minute Imperial IPA

Definitely got the malt I was expecting but it’s a little fresher and brighter too. Decent for a crowler

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023)

I was surprised at how light the mouthfeel was, it’s silky smooth but not overly sweet or boozy. Got a little hint of bourbon and chocolate but zero maple. Decent but was just expecting so much more!

KBS Blueberry

Tastes like KBS with blueberry syrup. Sweet and sickly. I couldn’t drink it.

Citrus Squall

I am enjoying the grapefruit juice as it’s very natural tasting. The golden ale isn’t the best combination with grapefruit and I think an IPA might have worked better with the citrus to enhance the acidity. It’s okay but I’ll skip it next time

Sweet Repute

Very sweet. Not really much maple but definitely tastes barrel aged. Definitely not for me

French Toast Bastard

Tastes more like artificial chemicals than I remember. I really liked it last year, but this year I would struggle to get drink a glass of this.

Ultimate Oktoberfest

Incredibly smooth and tasty served ice cold. As it warmed up the barrel aging gave it a little too much sweetness. Definitely the better choice if you really have to drink those Oktoberfest beers

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Very fruity but not too sickly. Be a great beer to have with Thanksgiving Turkey as it has some lovely cherry and citrus notes that remind me of cranberry orange sauce.

Velvet Rush

Strong coffee brown ale that’s punching well above it’s weight. Boozy chocolate and lots of coffee. Good stuff!

French Toast Bastard

Lovely smooth creamy vanilla with just the right amount of maple sweetness. The barrel age booze strength and taste really built up as the beer warmed up. Loved it ice cold, but the original bastard coming through got a bit heavy for me in the end.

Panther Cub (2021)

It’s an interesting porter, not as sweet as I was expecting because the maple and vanilla are pretty balanced and the porter taste holds it’s own. It’s very tasty and easy to drink

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

My favorite KBS by a huge margin. Actually tastes like fudge! Not too sweet, but just has a delightful fudgey aftertaste that blends so well with the KBS coffee maple bourbon and chocolate = perfection

Breakfast Stout

It’s even better than I remember! Perfect balance of complex roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Not sweet. Not over done. Perfectly balanced

Rübæus

Too sweet for me - very fruity - but needs a bit of zing for a real raspberry effect
