Delicious. May seem like more of a dessert beer but it was also good for happy hour while watching a cold rain move in. Cinnamon and vanilla are subtle while the maple is more pronounced. The barrel aging rounds it out nicely. Nice cold day warmer.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Case
If this were not a scotch ale I would have passed. But I was intrigued and happy I tried it. Maple syrup starts out and is quickly followed by cinnamon. As it warms up the bourbon flavoring enters and just makes it a damn fine ale.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Case
I really enjoyed this beer. It was like having a semi-lighter Manhattan in a beer format. Does that sound weird? Maybe but it works! I can't come up with a taste profile other than bourbon in an ale. But it was really good!

I'm a bit conflicted on this. Cold it delivers a wonderful hazelnut flavor with just a hint of the barrel aging. However, as it warms up, the hazelnut flavor really takes over and can become too strong. Drink it colder than most stouts.

Coffee flavored beer.....if only we could get away with drinking it in the morning. Oh wait....I'm retired so I can do that! Nice strong coffee flavoring with a subtle hint of bourbon. Another hit from Founders!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Case
Wow...this reminds me of eating a chocolate bourbon candy from Kentucky. Not really too sweet but just flavorful enough to enjoy. I obviously get the bourbon and chocolate flavors with a subtle hint of coffee and maple. I would drink this again.
