Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Ranella

Happy birthday, Vivienne! I’m in shock how well this has held up. Beautiful. Every flavor note in tack. Chocolate. Maple. Coffee. Touch of booze and barrel. Bottled 9.30.19.

Nunu Hazy Ipa Ranella

I haven’t been here in ages. Used a gift card from last year. Good food and a great server. In terms of hazies, they didn’t just give it the college try…seems thought out. Decent. Good body. Citrusy. Dry finish.

Blushing Padre Ranella

Pic was from Father’s Day but it has the 4th vibes in it. A good barrels aged version of the monk. The tequila gives it a layer and a slight burn that meets a touch of fruit and tartness.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) Ranella

Being consistent. One 2017 CBS per year. Christmas or New Years. Not how it was planned though. This is the last one. It’s still drinking beautifully. Hitting all the right notes of coffee, maple, chocolate and bourbon. Merry Christmas Eve!

Årh Hvad?! / Hva Såå!? Ranella

Listed as a Belgian pale on the bottle but the Belgian dark descriptor on the app is more appropriate. The description here also is accurate. Nutty. Some bitter grapefruit with a dry, bitter finish. Meh. Ok. Not notable.

Underground Mountain Brown (2020) Ranella

The bourbon barrel isn’t shy here. Coffee dances in there a little but a good bourbon punch on top of a malty, brown base. Pair with cigar...if that's your thing. Jessica enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you Alan H. for the hookup!!
