Underwhelmed a bit. Got the spicy (even 6 hours later 🙄) but it wasn’t up to expectations. The chocolate was ok, but subdued…maybe too much.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) Crawford

I’m consuming it at basement room temp (61). Not enjoying it as the last stout I just had prior (Griddle by Burial). BUT, I can’t judge by temp. A little more booze fwd than I expected. And not as sweet as I expected

French Toast Bastard Crawford

Very good. Would buy it again. Love the bastards, and this is no exception.

The lime and agave are a bit cloying. I’d like to rate this higher, but it’s almost a dessert beer. Sorry, Founders…

Frootwood Crawford

It’s NOT super sweet, but I get the cherry & maple. The barrel aging gives it an edge, but it’s super smooth. It’s not your average fruit beer.

Rübæus Crawford

Historic check in - had it a week ago. One of the best fruit beers I’ve ever had. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…Founders makes nothing but great beer.

You can’t go wrong with anything by Founders. Many of my top 25 beers are theirs. This, by far, is in my top stouts. I discovered that Lowe’s Foods all have 4 packs at the extremely low price of $15.99. That’s $7 less than Total Wine. This is the 2019
