Ultimate Oktoberfest M.

Sweet and boozy. The Marzen (even for being an imperial) is pretty obscured by the BBA process. The boozy heat is medium and the ABV is tolerable. A decent choice if you want a seasonal BBA beer, not something I’d celebrate Oktoberfest with, though.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) M.

KBS is an all-time favorite of mine. A hometown hero, if you will. This one, being 3 years old, is a bit past it’s prime. The malt presence is strongest, with a bit of oxidation linger. Still strong coffee and bourbon flavor, but not balanced as usual.

Más Agave Prickly Pear M.

Beautiful red color and very effervescent, white head on the pour. It tastes quite nice and fruity, without being too boozy for nearly 10% ABV. As with other Mas Agave variants, it’s sneaky. Refreshing and delicious, but a bit syrupy. Lime is still better

French Toast Bastard M.

Sweet, syrupy, and boozy. Probably one of my favorites from Founders. I WISH I could get more. It pours light brown with white, thin head. The nose is ALL maple syrup and the linger is sweet syrup goodness. It’s beer and pancakes. Leaves your lips sticky.

Gimme S'more Porter M.

It leaves something to be desired. More gingerbread than graham cracker. Not a lot of chocolate, and absolutely no marshmallow. It’s a decent porter, but I wouldn’t pick ‘s’mores’ out if the bottle didn’t tell me so. Wouldn’t buy again. Sorry founders...
