There's a point where the subtleties of a black ipa get lost in the strength. 12% is beyond that. That said, this is a lovely, liquoricey delight. Damn brexit (or maybe it's a good thing?) for preventing me from accessing these folks' stuff easily.

The rhubarb is gentle. It's nice. Think I preferred the crumble in pangolin the other day.

So I haven't a feckin clue what this is. But it's actually not bad. Not had a spontan for a while.

Bought a schooner. Charged for a half 'because its expensive' at just over £6!? £3 for 2/3 of 8% mikkeller. For that alone, it's a great little place 🤷🏻♂️ Live music too. A slight bitterness, fresh and dangerously smooth. The beer this is.

Bean Geeks - Session Porter B.
Another blast from 2019. Not sure it stands up as well as it did back then. Despite being in a head of steam.

Says something about a place when one of the poorest offerings on tap is this. Bought as someone was afraid of the stronger stuff. Will have to have my own flight next...

A developed papaya since last I had this, perhaps. And a developed palate too. Less for me now.

Bitter, unusual but nice. Bit disappointed in the Kirkstall Tap. Nice Kirkstall Road rumble though, albeit incredibly quiet for this time of day 🤔

Smooth. Just marked down as too winey for me, but that's a personal thing. A nice beer.
