KBS - Chocolate Espresso O

Not a vast departure from the original at all, but the coffee feels predictably punchier. Firm bitterness cleans it up very well.

Sang Bleu (2024) O

The berry adds earthiness that's close to seemless with the funk, adding a cool dimension. The fruitiness is sort of red currant-like. 4.25+

Backwoods Bastard O

2017 bottle. Rich caramel, toffee, vanilla. Body has lightened and dried, but does not show any signs of oxidation or sherried qualities.

Chocolate Cherry KBS O

Very gentle complementary cherry flavor, rich and sweet, but not overbearing. Chocolate and roast bring up the rear. Pretty polished.

Oude Geuze Apogee O

4.25+ great depth. Robust in style, but light on it's feet enough to be very moreish.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2019) O

Precision in every aspect somehow. Been a bit since I've had one of these. Didn't disappoint.

Moriau Oude Geuze Vieille O

Nice effervescence, hay, lemony stonefruit, dusty funk, a little burnt corn, moderate sourness. Not the finest geuze in the valley, but well worth a try at the price. Would drink again.

Beer Geek Cocoa Shake O

Rich malt, coffee, vanilla cacao. Bitter finish, front to back reminds you that old school is best school.

Panther Cub O

Maple and vanilla hit up front with some barrel. Finishes roasty with sturdy bitterness. Lighter body for this type of thing these days, but no worse for it.
