The best cup of coffee you could ask for (dunno how I never rated this)

Flavors are great as expected. I had hoped for a little more body and mouthfeel on draft. Sweeter than traditional KBS but not as sweet as Mackinac fudge edition. Coffee flavor was a little on the burnt side to me—kinda like Starbucks.

Another great KBS. It's heavy, but not overly boozy at all.

Average at best. Founders KBS has made much better variants than this

This is starting to grow on me. Its KBS expresso with a touch of chocolate. I prefer the coffee taste anyway.

The barrels leave a strong alcohol flavor that overshadows the coffee chocolate notes

P: dark coffee, good carbo, low retention. S: chocolaty cacao and coffee. T: strong espresso, with a dry finish. The dry finish, along with the carbo, give it a spicy tingly mouthfeel. Interesting for a stout that tastes exactly like its title.

Love KBS, love most variants. This is another winner.

And another one. I love espresso martinis, therefore, must taste this punchy bev. Yum

Not a fan of Founders but KBS is good and I wanted to try this variant. A tad too much of the roasty, bitter coffee flavor for me but I’m being picky because it’s still a good chocolate coffee stout.

Founders tasting #3 Rich, boozy front, a note of sweetness (chocolate?) with a lot of coffee on the back end. Like BS but more substantial, with a shot dropped in it. Roastier as it warmed.

On to the Chocolate Espresso version of KBS. Smells like coffee. Has a coffee finish. Might let this warm up a bit before giving it a rating. Warmed up and it’s not quite as harshly bitter, but there aren’t a lot of flavor different from regular KBS.

Like a 90% cocoa dark chocolate bar, which is an excellent confection, maybe just not as beer

It’s KBS so let’s start there. The coffee added is a bonus.

Chocolate and oak aroma accompanied by dark chocolate and dry espresso flavors. A subtle vanilla sweetness with little evidence of bourbon.

Founders always hits the mark with their CBS and KBS series. This one features a good dose of chocolate and a nice espresso kick. Get some oak too. Really good, especially after it warms up a bit.
