Chocolate and oak aroma accompanied by dark chocolate and dry espresso flavors. A subtle vanilla sweetness with little evidence of bourbon.

All Day Grapefruit Cassin

All grapefruit on the nose. Grapefruit is the dominate flavor followed by white bread notes. Crisp and clean.

KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) Cassin

The chocolate and coffee is noticeable and nice, but the "spicy" is quite mild. Not sure this is worthy of a special release.

Mortal Bloom Cassin

A bit cloudy, not so hazy. Low carbonation, crisp, and orange notes. Decent but unremarkable.

Kokua Indian Pale Lager Cassin

Mild pine and lemon-lime aroma and taste. Maybe a hit of dank and quite light.

Tangibly IPA Cassin

Dry and fairly bitter with a slight orange and tangerine flavor.

Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice Cassin

Reminds me somewhat of a dutch apple pie. Although I'm getting a lot of cinnamon and, especially, ginger. If nothing else, it definitely tastes like the holidays. Sweet and packs quite a bit of heat.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) Cassin

Strong roasted coffee and sweet maple aroma and taste. Oak notes and a hint of bourbon. Started with a 4.75 but pushed it to a 5 as it warmed. Take your time with this one. It's a damned good beer, good to have it back.

Harvest Ale 2023 Cassin

Just a clean, solid IPA. Pine and citrus notes, moderate bitterness, refreshing.

John Chovy Cassin

Light in appearance and lightly toasted. Well balanced but nothing remarkable.

4 Giants Starcatcher Haze Cassin

Yellow and murky in appearance. A dank, citrus pulp flavor, not at all sweet, making this one of the better Hazy IPAs from Founders. Definitely New England in character and a step above the juice bombs that dominate the IPA market.

KBS Blueberry Cassin

The coffee and bourbon are prominent, followed by a subtle blueberry tartness.

Nunu Hazy Ipa Cassin

A slight fruit punch sweetness followed an earthy dry finish. More cloudy than hazy and a fairly average beer

Virgil Haze Cassin

The honeydew melon definitely comes through strong. Surprisingly thin with a dry finish. Sweeter than I would prefer.

Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout 2023 (Mothership Series) Cassin

Vanilla, oak and the leather and spice notes of cognac are prominent up front. The bourbon gives this a subtle sweetness, followed by mild chocolate and roasted grain flavors. Finishes dry. The complexity of this beer earns it an extra quarter star.

Lenny IPA Cassin

Clean stone fruit and mild citrus flavors. A hint of apricot rather than peach. Well balanced with a nice grain finish.

Rye Brown Cassin

Toasted rye bread with a hint of cherry. Toasted bitterness to finish

100 Year Haze Cassin

Slight citrus and stonefruit and flavors, pine, and a nice bitterness. White bread notes and moderate bitterness. This is how I like NEIPAs.

Sweet Repute Cassin

The maple and bourbon combine to create a cherry and vanilla flavor with light caramel notes. There is a boozy burn on the finish.

Barrel-Aged Peanut Butter Stout Cassin

Sweet maple, bittersweet chocolate, and notes of bourbon. A nutty finish.

All Day West Coast Cassin

Crisp and clean. Mild citrus and pine with dank notes and a white bread finish.

Tropical 4 Giants Hazy Cassin

Just a bit cloudy with an orange/pineapple juice flavor. Definitely tropical, but the sweet juiciness isn't my thing.

All Night IPA Cassin

Smokey and roasty, a bit thin. Good But not sure I would consider this an IPA.

Snowbound Vanilla Porter Cassin

The vanilla extract flavor comes through strong. Nice chocolate flavors follow but perhaps a bit heavy on the vanilla.

Wake Up World Wide Stout Cassin

A "worldwide" beer to celebrate International Stout Day. Maple and mild coffee aroma. A fairly intense maple sugar sweetness that slowly transitions to dark roasted coffee beans. Mild cinnamon notes and a somewhat dry finish.

THING #1 IPA Cassin

This is a clean and refreshing, traditional IPA. Very well balanced pine, mild and slightly earthy notes.

Not Your Mother's Harvest Ale Cassin

Amber in color with a nice caramel flavor. Earthy pine fnotes with a slightly dry finish.

Pumpernickel Brown Ale - 2022 Grand Rapids Pro AM Submission Cassin

Burnt grains and a nice roasty flavor. Tastes a little like pretzels without the salt...or pumpernickel, per the description. Nice flavor.

QUARTER LIFE CRISIS - FOUNDERS 25TH ANNIVERSARY BEER Cassin

Oak and hazelnut aroma. Sugary sweetness and hazelnut up front, followed by a hint of maple and whisky. Not a huge hazelnut fan but a nice offering for the Founders 25th Anniversary celebration.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Cassin

Molasses and caramel nose. Cherry and bourbon, oak, and subtle vanilla notes.

All Day Chill Day Cassin

Light and enjoyable. Crisp lemon notes with a white bread/toast finish.

Home Front Ipa Cassin

Fairly typical Midwest IPA. Mild pine sweetness and a bit gritty and dry.

Ultimate Oktoberfest Cassin

Copper in color with more of a cocktail flavor than beer. Smooth with Bourbon and cherry notes.

Beer City Dog Biscuit I “Paw” A Cassin

Crisp and light, pine notes and fairly mild bitterness. Clean finish. This gets an extra quarter star for supporting those with disabilities and providing tasty treats to man's best friend.

SnowSpeeder ESB Cassin

Caramel and a peppercorn spiciness. Crisp and good.

Ales For ALS (2022) Cassin

Clean and gold in appearance. Nice resinous pine, mild stonefruit and orange flavors. Slightly dank with a toasty bitterness.

Pineapple Gose Cassin

Sweet and then instantly sour. A hint of pineapple, slightly salty and a white bread finish. A refreshing summer beer.

Hazacca IPA Cassin

Orange citrus notes, soft mouthfeel, mild biscuit notes with a slightly bitter finish.

Summer's Gold Cassin

This is earthy and dry, yet refreshing. Nicely bitter on the finish. Can taste the wheat and honey notes.

Maibock Cassin

Light, sweet, floral and refreshing. Perfect beer for a blue sky, 80 degree day.

Citra Promise Cassin

Citrus flavors, dank and a slightly dry grainy bitterness that builds and lingers. Crisp and refreshing.

Corvalis IPA Cassin

Floral and dry with mild orange citrus flavors.

Craftsman’s Wages Cassin

Caramel and, yes, a bit of cola. Grainy, dry and bitter. Really good and actually close to a 4.25.

Peachy Trouble Cassin

Had high hopes for this as Double Trouble was one of my favorites. The peach flavor seems artificial, almost like a hard candy or peach soda. Clean with a bitter finish, but too sweet for my taste.

Mas Hops Double IPA Cassin

Pine aroma and flavor with a hint of stonefruit, followed by an intense bitterness and deep caramel notes.

Cuban-Style Breakfast Stout Cassin

A bit of espresso and a sugary sweetness. Somewhat dry with a nutty finish. Reminiscent of a Cortadito.

Belgian Twist Cassin

Definitely Belgian in style with banana notes and mild clove notes. A nice malty finish.

KBS Hazelnut Cassin

A lot of Hazelnut. Smooth and easy finish I'm sure it's a good beer, but I'm not a hazelnut lover.

Chocolate Cherry KBS Cassin

True to its name, cherry and chocolate sweetness up front, followed by a cherry tartness. Finishes with the traditional KBS bourbon flavor.

All Day Haze Cassin

This has an earthy bitterness and a hint of the biscuit and peppercorn flavors I enjoy in NEIPAs. I appreciate that it is not overly juicy or sweet, but it's a bit thin as would be expected in a beer a lower ABV.

& the Bandit Cassin

Moderate smokey notes followed by a rich caramel sweetness. A little brown sugar on the finish.

London Brown Porter Cassin

Roasted and a bit smokey. Mild milk chocolate notes.

120 Minute IPA (2020) Cassin

A deep caramel sweetness with intense boozy notes that burn the sinuses a bit. The bitterness has faded after 16 months. As always, excellent beer.

Harvest Ale (2021) Cassin

Just a fresh, clean IPA with a nice pine flavor and mild earthy nicest. An annual favorite!

Scarlet Dawn IPA Cassin

Toasty and dry with mild caramel notes. Finishes a bit earthy.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Cassin

A little Bourbon followed by vanilla and rich caramel. And then cinnamon. Lots of cinnamon. Finishes with chocolate and a cinnamon spice dryness.

Ales For ALS (2021) Cassin

Gritty and dry with peppercorn, mild stonefruit notes, and toasted grain.

Pale Ale Cassin

Nice grain flavor and floral notes. Finishes dry.

All Day Vacay Cassin

Slightly cloudy, floral and a sweet grainy finish. Sort of feels like a vacation on this sunny 85° day.

Nemesis (2021) Cassin

Stonefruit sweetness that quickly morphs into an intense roastiness. Finishes quite bitter without the boozy notes you'd expect from an 11.2% beer. This is amazingly good and not what I'd expect from a Barleywine.

B.A. DISSENTER IPL Cassin

Molasses on the nose, and a watered-down bourbon flavor. Although aged for 3 years in a barrel, not a lot going on with this one.

Moon Rambler IPA Cassin

Maybe a hint of melon. Other than that, sugary with a moderate bitterness.

KBS Espresso (2020) Cassin

Huge coffee aroma and flavor. The coffee bean bitterness hides the bourbon, in a good way. Dry. Finishes with notes of bittersweet chocolate.

Hearty Soul BA Barley Wine Cassin

Really boozy. Malty with a hint of toffee. Like sipping whisky straight up - a bit harsh.

Change of Art Imperial Hazy IPA Cassin

The Mosaic hops definitely come through. Slightly dank, not really hazy. A bit of pine and quite smooth.
