Zwanze 2022 - Poivre de Gorilles Pisano

Sansho, evergreen trees, herbaceous AF. Citrusy like lemongrass on palette but also lots of pepper and umami. There’s a lot going on here and very exciting for my palette.

Classic Gueuze (2015) Pisano

Magnum: very musky nose. It’s funky! That musk continues into the flavor, backed by apricot pits, grapeskin, tannins. Mouthfeel is pretty mild carbonation. Very pleasant drinker!

Drogone Lambic (2023) Pisano

Stonefruit, grape skins, mild vanilla. This mouthfeel is awesome. Crisp finish, with just little tartness.

Saint Lamvinus (2023) Pisano

Really fruity nose, raspberry, currant, hard candy. Really great mouthfeel. Finishes a bit tart but I’m eating very powerful flavored food which is making it hard to tell just how tart it is.

Zwanze 2024 - MMXXIV Pisano

Nose is salty, briney like pickle juice, apple juice. Pretty mild geuze. Finishes with saltiness. Overall a nice drinker for a spring afternoon.

Cherry has been perfectly aged. This is definitely the best variation I’ve had! Cinnamon, stone fruit is so present on nose. Perfect mouthfeel and just right level of sourness.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2002) Pisano

It smells like straight raspberry jam. Mouthfeel is good, but really the carbonation has left after 22 years! Sourness is a bit much, but still enjoyable.
