It's nice to see my surly mug on a bottle of beer! This hits way above its belt with a punch of bourbon landing closer at 20% range. After the shock of the initial sip (because make no mistake - it's a sipper) the oak tannins morph into caramel candy.

According to Untapped I've sampled well over 100 (strictly speaking) porters. With that in mind I greatly appreciate the consistent flavor recipe Founders delivers. Robust coffee, enjoyable chocolate in a well balanced beer. Cheers to a few hundred more.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) Eddy
The maple bourbon pair had me grinning like a teen seeing his first set of boobies! Utter deliciousness 😋

An amber sweetness gives balance to a diesel hop attitude. Rich & complex malts filtered through nutty moss to a smooth as smoke finish. And with a head respectable enough to dampen my beard! Definite contender for clan Eddy house ale!

Not sure on the merits of starting one's day with an espresso stout but it's definitely a fine way to end one! Snappy coffee oomph from the consistently satisfying Founders. (Also, I can't seem to take a picture near a campfire to save my life 🤪)

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022) Eddy
Thick coffee as in imperial soy sauce! Just not salty. Slight burnt coffee adds some bright bitterness. Finishes with a much appreciated warm maple sweetness.

A souped up brown ale, very approachable for those affeared of too much pumpkin flavor. Probably more suited for those who used a spoon to dig out a pumpkins innards instead of their bare hands.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Eddy
This is stupendous, stupidly so! Thick and luxurious in the glass continues with full cocoa mouthfeel. Dark bourbon enhanced vanilla coffee is very satisfying. Then a dryer cinnamon bark finnish. Like listening to your favorite song live. Dam fine brew!!

This stout tastes illegal, as in I should be tiptoing down to the local speakeasy to partake of such fne libations. Also enjoying a 12% beer on a Sunday seems like it should be upsetting someone! Espresso & bourbon barely tempered by woody chocolate.

Finally tracked down this elusive and dark beast, crouched on the top shelf of ye'old wine shope. The vanilla pounces out of the glass propelled by silky smooth, aged bourbon. Don't be fooled by the wisker slight, maple sweetness. At 9% the claws are out
