I just love beer. I drink too much of it but hey, a little of what you like does you good. Right?

It's good, it's not great. I expected more definitive cherry flavour but there's a tartness and bitterness from cherries and an overall fruitiness. There's a sweet and sour balance which would lean more toward sour for my taste. I found it very enjoyable.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) Turpin

Big whack of chocolate. Funnily enough, not getting coffee. Notes of dried fruits. Sweet maple. Umami notes with the slightest hint of salt. Very complex, more so than I can actually recall. Suffice to say, it was delicious. LCI. Nightcap from last night

Dirty Bastard Turpin

Once again I find I had this four years ago when I came to Colorado. No matter, it's very good. Big smack of butterscotch on the nose, on the palate too. There's caramel sweetness, dried fruits such as figs and dates. It's strong, malty, bitter, smooth.

Breakfast Stout Turpin

Hadn't remembered having this but I have. Four years ago when I came to the USA! Big hit of coffee. Chocolate is there but under the surface. It's rich, roasty, malty, bitter and mouth-coating. It all leads to a satisfying dry, tongue-tingling finish.

60 Minute IPA Turpin

Classic Denver. Water. And a beer. They offer you water before anything else. Stay hydrated folks! Especially here in the Mile High City. Citrus, hints of pineapple. Not hugely hoppy but enough to gently bitter the beer. Malty. Odd hints of summat musty.

Tart, cidery. Hints of old rubber and barnyard straw. Dry, very dry. What kind of imbecile said it was sweet? Not remotely sweet in any way, shape or form. Unless I've finally lost all my marbles! Look, I know it's a classic but it's just not my thing. Ok

Cyllene Session Porter Turpin

Not a complex porter but full-flavoured nonetheless. Big roasty malts. Strong coffee notes and the merest hint of dark chocolate right at the bitter end. And it is bitter. Not in a big-hop manner but in a strong coffee way. As mentioned, so easy to drink.

Nocturnal Turpin

Sweet, milky, roasty, vanilla. Some bitterness on the finish, enough to start the old lips-smackin'.😃 This is really good if nothin' startlingly original. Enjoyable doesn't necessarily mean off-the-wall or "never been seen before". Nice end of the day'er

Ich Bin Raspberry Turpin

It's ok. Once again, not really my sort of thing. I guess I just don't really "get" sours. My son bought me this, I probably wouldn't have bought it for myself.

Oude Geuze Boon (2016-2017) Turpin

Now here's a sour beer I can enjoy. I totally understand now why this is such a classic. Really very good indeed. Apples and cinnamon with a distinct lemon character. Apple pie anyone? Bubbly, elegant, refined. Sour and tart obviously. Delicious!
