The elephant pondered He knew it could be wrong Why hadn’t the others done it? He had a trunk that could reach? It didn’t make sense? Was he a more curious elephant? Slowly using his long trunk the elephant reached up and grabbed a top shelf magazine…

A smooth and well balanced porter with dark chocolate and subtle roasty flavours.

Really drinkable, nice Porter. Definitely could session it.

Easy to drink, coffee, malts, a little chocolate, overall loafs of flavour makes this a good session porter

Not a complex porter but full-flavoured nonetheless. Big roasty malts. Strong coffee notes and the merest hint of dark chocolate right at the bitter end. And it is bitter. Not in a big-hop manner but in a strong coffee way. As mentioned, so easy to drink.

Burnt-bitter and ashy-dry, hints of bitter choc yet smooth.

Pretty decent porter. A little too bitter, but not bad

Light session porters and stouts just aren't my thing. I prefer my darker drinks to be more full bodied and but a little harder with the abv. There's definitely a market for lower abv drinks even with dark beers but it's not for me.

Pretty thin, but might be a good thing as there is a hint of dry smokiness, like licking an ashtray. With it being so thin, the ash flavour is only subtle, but had it been stronger it would be undrinkable. As it is, it's only just hitting average.

Vanilla and chocolate aromas to start, with some coffee notes as support. Very easy to drink, but for my taste some flavours were too mild and it was lacking a bit of body. Overall a good beer.
