2023. Great dank horseblanket smell with some tart grapes. More tart in taste with the funk always hanging there for nice balance and earthiness that keeps it good into finish.

Vigneronne (2023) S

Lovely wild tart smell that isn’t overboard with subtle grape must. Acidity and ramps throughout but with flavor wild tartness and a finish that quenches.

Breakfast Stout S

Whoa! Big change from Guinness. Sweet and roasty with maple flavors throughout. Good, but a little big for today.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 92 Mono Blend S

Bottled 12/16/2016. Lovely bright geuze. Wild nose with light tartness. Taste is wild tartness that grows in the back balanced with horse blanket. Into finish. All the flavors are there nicely balanced. Would like more pronounce flavors, but still great.

90 Minute Imperial IPA S

Surprisingly I never checked this in. An old school bitter bomb. A little hop burn on the nose. An orangey taste with a blast of old school bitter on the back into finish. Not great for how straight bitter it is. But that is what it wants to be.

All Day IPA S

Some good bitter flavors. Not really great, but it is good for day drinking. ALL DAY!

KBS S

Free KBS as part of Sip Studio night at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre performance of Liberace!!! Such a great show. And a great beer. An OG barrel aged. The booze and flavors hit you but are not in your face. Others are better but this is still classic.

Sweet Repute S

Nose is a little muted but wheat wine goodness with nice hit of hit following that for a nice effect. Roasted caramel goodness.

Dirty Bastard S

I can’t believe I’ve only checked this in once. It’s just not as available as it once was. And it is a danger beer at 8.5%. Great frothy head and lacing. Sweet and malty through and through but not sticky. Finishes so smooth with a nice hint of smoke.

Fou' Foune S

2017/2018! CATillion!!!! Nice start to FoCAT! Just classic funky wild horse blanket. With tart apricot into a tangy apricot finish. I had this rated as only 4? This is my first beer today. Not as acidic as my last check-in. So better.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) S

HUGE RICH smell with cinnamon, vanilla, and bourbon barrel. Taste is similar but with roast increasing throughout. Vanilla on the back end to clean up the roast a bit but the burnt flavor lingers in finish with pastry.

Oktoberfest S

Great thick fluffy head. Nice sweet biscuity smell. Toasted sweet malts on taste but not overly sweet. Gets a little sweeter in back in finish which is a bit much, but it cleans up and doesn’t linger. Needs a little more nuance and complexity.

Unraveled IPA S

A little still and hazy. A bit thin in the mouthfeel but a nice big fresh fleshy citrus with pine bitterness taste that works well. Cleaned up finish while maintaining some of that lovely bitterness. Trying my hand at the Delirium T. pose for my pic.

Iris S

2006 - Great musty wild smell with a touch of oxidation. Acidic upfront with the wildest growing in back to balance it out. Sweet malts on the edges with the acidity drowning it out.

Great wild sour smell with the prefect sour must smell. Similar in taste which is so yummy. Into finish. Sour but never acidy.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend S

Bottled 2016. Slight acidity on the nose. Awesome complex wild horse blanket sour. So much going on in the taste. Leaning on the acidic side, the funk balances that out nicely. In to a tasty lingering acidic sour finish. This is the classic lambic taste.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend 2015 S

Nice effervescence. Maybe a little darker then fresh. Musty geuze smell with a little tart. Good mouthfeel with that wild brown sugar sourness, but not too acidic, that increases in the back and as it warms and lingers perfectly in the finish.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) S

Good to find this since they surprisingly no longer make it. Subtle maple smell. Sweet maple taste up front that balances out in the back with roast and barrel. Into a slick finish that is sweet but not sticky and nice warming bourbon notes.
