Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 109 Mono Blend
Beer from a hundred year-old cask, yep. The cognac flavor may still be slightly too strong but it’s tasty. Bet it gets better for many years.

Funny and somewhat disturbing labeling. Jeffer, the owner of MLK Food Store, said this was his favorite. He likes bitterness in beer. Definitely maintains a nice bitter character along with the chocolate and coffee. Very nice.

Like drinking the most delicious sour fermented raspberries. What a heavenly beverage.

perhaps just a tad flatter after 8 yrs (?) but this allows the cherry flavor through cleanly. Very smooth, tasty.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon (2018)
Sour yet smooth, nicely balanced ripe cherry flavor. Wouldn’t expect less from Boon.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 110 Mono Blend
Significant difference between this and VAT 108. Would say more flavor in the 110 but prefer the subtlety of 108. Brewed in 2014 and bottled in 2016. Nothing like drinking an excellent nearly decade old brew.

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend (2016)
Brewed 2/15/15, bottled 12/20/16. Sour and robust. Interesting to try a mono blend aged 8 years.

Different from anything I’ve had. Somewhat flat, the missing link between beer and wine. The raspberry and cherry (to a lesser degree) fragrance is amazing. Such a unique new treat for the mouth.
