Just learned a new German word - pelzig. Supposedly describes the tongue-smacking that happens with some dry sours. Lot of that happening here. Delicious!

Ohhh… really great balance. Sour gushiness and then bone dry. Really sudden pivot. This would be spectacular with food.

Funky oak on the nose. The palate starts with an airplane fuel note. There’s oak and tartness, but they’re not dancing together.

Super easy drinking. Nice, sharp effervescence. Tart, but not puckeringly so. Cherry cobbler finish. Only wish it were slightly stronger.

Not nearly as sweet as I was expecting. In fact, there’s no sweetness at all. Smells like raspberry jam, tastes like a gueuze. Looks pretty.

Oh my, that bourbon sings! The alcohol heat hits at the end. Not as viscous as I had feared. I don’t get a huge amount of coffee, maybe the bourbon overpowers it.

Just a whisper of cherry. I really like the balanced finish, a little tart a little dry. I was waiting for a big flavor gush, but didn’t find any.

Sour and incredibly dry. I get that awesome fenugreek flavor from Belgian gueze. Only note: finishes a little too soon.

Smelled malty but I don’t get as much of that in the flavor. More bitter than I had expected from the nose.

It's Blowing Half A Pelican / Det blæser en halv pelikan
A little thin but I like the flavor. A hint of cheek salivation but it fades fast.

Beer Geek Flat White Kieni Coffee
A bit on the sour, fruity side of coffee. This on nitro would be great. If you’re going to call it flat white, then more creaminess would be nice.

Just not a fan of brown ales. Tried it with a hazelnut chocolate and the pairing was better than the beer on its own.

Trippelbock Frederiksdal Cherries
Takes me on a journey. Tart cherry, then chocolate.

Hmm... tastes like a lambic, not sure I get açaí. Also not sure I would be able to tell you what they taste like though.

Yummy! Bitter like citrus pith, sour like... citrus. I love this series.

Nice start, ends a little thin. Leaves a little tartness in the corners of my mouth.

Smells fantastic. Not a nice sour flavor, reminds me of some bad schwarzbiers.

Really bordering on wine and ipa flavors. Tried it after a sour, so I couldn’t get much of the tart.

Still haven’t warmed up to maltier beers, and there’s quite a lot at the front. But finishes bitter and thin.

It certainly delivers as advertised. Sticky sweet, syrupy, chocolatey.

Hmm... the spice is faint. Coffee, yes. I like the dry finish, too.

MBCC'20 Berliner-style Weisse With Fruits of the Sun
Pretty thin body. The fruits (orange and grapefruit) are there but fade in a second.

Like a fancy chocolate milk, sans milk. Finish fades a little too fast, but still good. 5.5% counts as session?

Unblended Oude Lambiek Foeder #76
Shame about the weak finish. Kind of reminds me of a cidre naturelle.
