Beer Geek Dessert Heagy

Ratings have been all over the place lately. Really liked this one. A good oatmeal stout with some sweetness will almost always hit with me.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) Heagy

Loved it then and love it now. Will always have a special place in my heart.

Panther Cub (2021) Heagy

Maybe the best timed beer photo I've ever taken. 60% of the time it works every time. Beer is even a little better than when I had it a couple years ago.

KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) Heagy

My least favorite kbs variant to date. It's not spicy, like heat, but more of like a weird mix of burnt spices. Of course its still salvaged somewhat by the base. Disappointing given how excited I was to pick it up.

Mango Magnifico Heagy

Sticking with the mango theme...I like this more than everyone else I guess. I thought the fruit worked really well with a touch of pepper.

Sweet Repute Heagy

Not bad. Not great. I've had some really great wheatwines so maybe I'm spoiled but this just didn't really stand out to me at all.

Belgian Twist Heagy

A nice change of pace, good banana flavor. Every time I drink a Belgian style beer I think I should revisit them more...then I fall back into ipas, stouts and sours.

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022) Heagy

Nice session ale with lunch. Agree with cuz the maple isn't very prominent but I assume that's where the sweetness is coming from. I'll call it a 4.3.

Chocolate Cherry KBS Heagy

I was borderline 4.5 on this but who am I to go against the crowd. Reviews were good...lots of chocolate, little cherry, very tasty. Also, a nod to Uncle Tim's BBQ sauce tasting bar!

French Toast Bastard Heagy

I debated going all the way to a 5. So insanely good. Thanks to some friendly gifters I've got a few more to continue the internal debate with. That brings me up to the here and now minus the Christmas share which I was happy to enjoy without rating.

KBS Heagy

Hell of a vertical...and beyond, and such a fun day to boot. Pictured are 2016, 17, 18, 20, and 22. Also had hazelnut, espresso, cbs, breakfast stout and velvet rush. Thanks to two of my favorite drinking buddies for making this possible without dying.

Porter Heagy

Really nice porter. Roasty with deep rich flavor. There still is a place for beer without cupcakes, ice cream, and half of a breakfast buffet...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Oktoberfest Heagy

Happy Halloween! Really enjoyed this. Sweet and malty. Paired excellently with a $5 chipotle burrito.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Heagy

Borderline 4.25. Tons of cinnamon.

Moon Rambler IPA Heagy

Curse of grapefruit. The milk sugar adds a sweetness that's interesting. Not a favorite for me...just seemed a bit all over the place.

4 Giants IPA Heagy

Very close between 3.75 and 4. The bitterness still lingers on my tongue a couple minutes after finishing which is a nice change of pace. Had this one at the brewery a few years ago so I'm curious to see what's in the spreadsheet.

Panther Cub (2021) Heagy

4998. How far we've come. Well done as expected but not quite as flawless as some of founders other BA offerings. The bar is high.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Heagy

Gonna try to cover the backlog here. This is fantastic. Followed it with the espresso and original and this was an easy winner for me.

Marvelroast Heagy

This was fantastic. Easily the best golden ale I've ever had. Granted this is a fantastic flavor profile for my tastes. We'll see if it stands up on second tasting.
