Iron Throne Wit Juggins

A wheaty, estery aroma, the taste is wheaty, somewhat banana, a little yeasty, soft in the mouth and quite full flavoured for a 5% ABV witbier ie. Sessionable. Decent.

Oude Kriek Boon (2018) Juggins

A beautiful blood red colour, the aroma is vinegary cherry and berries, and the taste is more cherry, berry (blackberry and raspberry) and less vinegar. A really solid, tasty lambic.

Kaerlighed Fall/Winter 2022 Juggins

A faint fruity aroma, this hazy Pale Ale is light, soft and has a slight honey taste as well as a faint fruity taste (lemon). A little piney, it has an overall light taste, but not because it is thin, which it isn’t.

Ice Cold Pilsner Juggins

A wheaty, estery aroma, the taste is grainy, wheaty and grassy, a little too much for a classic Piilsner. Malty and fairly bitter. Little else to it.

Stedsegrøn / Evergreen Juggins

A light, slightly fruity aroma, the taste is light, clean and refreshing but low on taste. Piney, grassy and a little fruity (a little lemon and peach) it’s targeting the session beer market at 3.5% ABV but sacrifices flavour to do so.

Rübæus Juggins

A fruity, berry aroma, the taste is strongly of raspberries but there is a sweetness that totally negates the sour, tart taste that normally goes with raspberries in beer. This one is creamy and sweet, a desert beer. Easy drinking but too sweet for me.

Kriek Marriage Parfait (2019) Juggins

A moderately fruity aroma, the taste is cherry, sour and acidic. It leaves a sweet cherry aftertaste, even though it is dry, bitter and sour when first in the mouth. Lambic beers are odd at first, but I like each one a bit more than the last one.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Juggins

Looks more like a red ale than brown, the aroma is boozy, of whisky, and the taste is seriously strong, with bourbon and dried fruit (raisins, dates and apricots) predominating. There’s also caramel, vanilla and spices, but those are less obvious. Nice!

Backwoods Bastard Juggins

The aroma is of single malt scotch, while the taste is strongly of Scotch, and oaky, smoked and sweet, with caramel and vanilla, roasted malts, a bit of spice and dried fruit. Together with a creamy head that tastes of Baileys - a wonderful combination.

KBS Juggins

A beautiful roasted coffee and black treacle aroma, the taste is sweet roasted coffee and dark chocolate with a hint of bourbon. At first it seems too sweet, but it’s very moorish. Very nice, but at 12% ABV, sip it slowly!

Breakfast Stout Juggins

A roasted coffee aroma, the taste is creamy, of a full, dark, rich roasted coffee with dark chocolate. Very smooth, with the right amount of bitterness for the style. Very enjoyable.

All Day Vacay Juggins

A wheaty, yeasty aroma and a really full taste for a wheat ale - with notes of candied citrus fruit (orange, lemon and lime) and spices. It’s sweet, but not at all insipid. Crisp and refreshing, that’s a sessionable (4.6% ABV) summer ale.

Porter Juggins

A very dark porter, it has a creamy head on pouring and a roasty aroma. The taste is roasted coffee, malty and has a creamy texture. A good solid traditional porter, although to taste its possibly closer to a stout.

Geuze Mariage Parfait Juggins

The aroma is closer to a dry white wine than beer, and the taste has the acidity and tartness of a lambic beer, with the white grape taste dominant. Aged for a minimum of three years, it can be stored until 2040, so I’m not drinking it at it’s best!

Dirty Bastard Juggins

A ruby colour, a malty aroma, the taste is sweet (dark honey and molasses), really creamy (almost buttery), a little smoky and peaty, it serves up a full-on malty flavour, hence the “scotch-style ale”. The creamy, sweet and malty combo is a winner.

All Day IPA Juggins

More than a bit lively - had to drink half of it on opening (what I didn’t lose!). Has a hoppy, fruity aroma and a zesty, fruity, citrus and stonefruit taste. I get peach and grapefruit mostly. It has a good mouthfeel. Quite bitter, but not too much. Nice

City Session IPA Juggins

This hazy IPA has a hoppy, floral and tropical fruit aroma. The taste is more floral and less fruity, and also somewhat bready and piney. Pleasant, but weird that such a fruity nose has so little fruit taste.

45 Days Organic Pilsner Juggins

To ØI say they leave this Pilsner to ferment for 45 days resulting in crisp, delicate flavours. It has a deliciously grassy, piney malt flavour, and is certainly crisp and refreshing. Very well made.

House of Pale Juggins

This has a fresh, fruity aroma and a light, crisp, refreshing taste. It’s hazy and a bit dank, and overwhelming fruity and fresh with a clean, smooth taste. As for the fruit, I get mostly stonefruit - peach and apricot with a hint of orangy citrus.

Ich Bin Raspberry Juggins

A red tinge to the colour, and a beautiful raspberry aroma. It has a very sour taste, of fresh raspberries. A very tasty sour.

Burst Juggins

This light IPA has an orange and grapefruit flavour with a tinge of bubblegum. Refreshing, crisp and bitter, this is a tasty IPA I would return to.

Visions Lager Juggins

A crisp, dry, refreshing, light lager. A little hoppy and bitter, with a light pomelo and orange flavour. It is, though a bit thin on flavour.
