Amazingly raspberry-forward. Tart and bright, fizzy and zippy.

Le Plaisir (2023) McLaren

Subtle, dry and sour. It’s very smooth and vinous, with some strong apple tones. Really pleasant.

Saint Lamvinus (2023) McLaren

Very grapey and vinous. Tart and acidic, very flavoursome.

Zwanze 2024 - MMXXIV McLaren

Interesting beer. There’s a lot going on - some peach and apricot notes, with a mild, briney salinity. The acidity builds as you go, and ends up being quite strong. Unusual and fun.

Nelson Sauvignon / Sauvin Brut McLaren

Fascinating beer. It’s absolutely a wild ale on the nose, so much funk and yeast. Flavour-wise, it’s remarkably clean. There’s some fruity sweetness, wrapped up in a clean, Brut-y body. Truly interesting and shockingly well balanced.

60 Minute IPA McLaren

I guess it’s a classic for a reason. Hoppy, smooth and a touch dank. Punchy at the end.

Virgil’s IPA McLaren

Pleasant and very drinkable, without being especially exciting. Smooth and hoppy, a little fruity and mild.

Radial McLaren

Scandinavian Pint of Origin at Beermash. This is a good one, plenty of hoppiness and a smooth body to boot.

Zwanze 2021 - Parasol McLaren

Happy Zwanze Day! As expected, this is extremely good. Exceptionally bright and citrusy, it’s surprisingly clean, with huge orange tones. It finishes quite sharp, with some zest acidity.

Tart and sour. There’s a real funk that shines through, and overall it’s a touch acidic and sightly sharp.

Just lovely. Fruity, sweet and sour. It finishes quite dry, and is just beautifully balanced.
