Learned beer in England so dark, heavy, or bitter is usually a good thing

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) D

Apparently I had a poor bottle in 2019, but this one did surprisingly well. Coffee is no longer the beast it once was. Very mellow.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) D

An experiment in aging. Still has very strong coffee.

Classic Gueuze (2014) D

Magnum! Part of the share at Bluewood. This has got some lovely black pepper flavor in it right now.

Sang Bleu (2022) D

This is different. Very sour. Never even heard of the berry.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) D

CBS was the first (and one of very few) beer I was truly jealous of others getting to have without me (hi Denny B. And Kevin C. ). Drinking what may be my last one seems like the end of an era. Thanks Alex S. For the hookup on this.

1 Ton Of... Blackcurrant D

So my wife occasionally purchases beers that interest her and then forgets about them. This is one of those. Still reasonable.

Past it’s peak. Drinking up some of the really old cellar.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2019) D

Just why not. Great fish from Annie Gunn’s and I wanted something to close out the night. Great fruit. Nicely dry, slight funk.
